Isca Summer School 2015

This year's Summer School is week earlier than normal, taking place on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th August at Exeter School.

Age Group: 7-14 years (competent 6 year olds will be welcome)
All abilities will be catered for in small groups. Younger children will play Quicksticks and the others will learn and enhance basic skills, participate in challenges and play fun games and a tournament.

Isca Recruiting Players

Isca women would welcome new players of any age and ability to join any of the five teams. Expert coaching provided.

We are also recruiting adults for National League, West Premier 1 and 2 Division teams, as well as local leagues. We are a friendly group, please come and try us. Contact coach Anne Baker 07801067593 or email

Pre-season Exeter School every Tuesday in August from7 – 830 for all abilities. Training in the season is on the excellent water based pitch at Exeter University as are most of the home matches.

Isca men are recruiting players particularly of National League standard, top coaching from Graham Skinner who is coaching the Regional Academy National Age Group players. Email James Bower for details

Back To Hockey

Not played for some time?Since school? Or university? Need a run around?

Feel like having a go at hockey again. Come along and join our very informal fun small game session at Exeter School on Tuesdays in August from 7- 8.30pm. Sticks and help provided.

Under 14 Girls Finish 5th in National Finals

Isca Under 14 Girls participated in the National Finals on May 10th having won the West Regionals. They played their best hockey against Surbiton (the runaway winners) and Old Loughtonians and could have finished higher but paid the price for missing chances in earlier matches. They won the 5th/6th play-off match 3-0 against Old Loughtonians. Congratulations to the team and to young coach Jess Persse.

England Hockey Courses Just Released

England Hockey Coaching courses have just released - please book onto these courses in the next week if you are interested. England Hockey are piloting their new courses and places are limited please book online ASAP if you wish to attend. There are two types of courses available:

Sessional Coach: ideal for those coaching junior teams. For more information and to book, please click here.

Level 2: Level 1 is required for this course and is ideal for those who want to coach at JAC and JRPC. For more information and to book, please click here.

Isca Girls Win Bronze at the Under 18 National Finals

Isca Under 18 Girls won bronze at the National Finals held at Lee Valley Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Park on Saturday 28th March.

They were beaten 2-0 in the semi-final by the eventual winners Beeston but went on to beat East Grinstead 1-0 in the 3rd/4th Play-off Match, winning a thoroughly deserved bronze medal. Thanks to manager Amanda Boylett for all her organisation and congratulations coach Emma Carragher and to all those who took part in a very proud day for Isca.

Isca Men's 1st XI Bounce back to Conference West

Congratulations to the Isca Men's 1st XI who bounce back to Conference West after a great season. Back for another shot at national league next season. Best of luck to our lads! 

England Under 21 Call Up

Kathryn Lane, the Ladies 1st XI captain, and Meg Crowson, the Ladies 1st XI top scorer, will both go to Germany this weekend. We hope they enjoy their training and matches.
